They carry the authority to keep order and maintain progress in line with the agenda. The role of the chair is similar to that of an umpire or referee, aware of the rules of conduct and capable of enforcing these when necessary. However, the chair is also an important member of the group and may be required to vote on the major issues and may even have to exercise a casting vote.<br /><br /><br />The selection of a chairperson for a formal meeting may be subject to certain rules. For example, the company secretary may be required to chair the AGM. Informal meetings may select a chair by a simple vote or via instructions from whoever has called the meeting. Sometimes there is a rotating chair where everyone gets a turn at leading the proceedings. Whilst this idea is democratic and inclusive, it is unlikely that the skills and qualities required of an effective chair will be found in all of those attending the meeting.</font></span></div>

第五次上課後心得

<div>課程名稱: 英文溝通與簡報技巧</div>
<div>授課老師: 陳錦瑜Victoria Chen</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>

My self-introduction

Hi everyone,&nbsp;<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; My name is Yafei. You can call me Fay. I’m from Shu-lin and live with my parents and an elder brother.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; I graduated from <a href="http://www.cycu.edu.tw/">Chung Yuan Christian University</a>, majored in international trade. I work for <a href="http://www.handicraft.org.tw/">Taiwan Handicraft Mart </a>next to the NTU hospital. I’m in the gift shop as a sales person. There are lots of products from around the island such as rose stone form Hualien, pottery from Yingge and porcelain of <a href="http://www.franzcollection.com.tw/">Franz</a>. It’s a great place to recommend to foreigners for one-stop shopping. I’ve worked there for one year so far.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;During my free time, I like to go to library to acquaint myself with new knowledge and information. I especially like to read magazines because they have various interesting subjects to broaden my horizons. I really enjoy this kind of self-study.&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I like listening to music. Guitar music is my favorite one. I used to play the guitar but I seldom practice since I left the guitar club in my college. I almost forgot how to play it. My favorite band is <a href="http://www.sodagreen.com.tw/">Sodagreen</a>. I spend much of time on seeing their live performance. I’m crazy about the vocalist, Chingfeng for 4 years now. I’m surprise that he still remembers my name even now he has many fans than before.&nbsp;<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; By the way, if you have a chance to stop by my company, Taiwan Handicraft Mart. My name is Yafei. Please don’t forget to find me in the first floor. I’ll give you a discount.&nbsp;<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Thank you for your listening. <img style="BORDER-TOP-WIDTH: 0px; BORDER-LEFT-WIDTH: 0px; FLOAT: left; BORDER-BOTTOM-WIDTH: 0px; MARGIN: 0.7em 1.4em 0.7em 0px; BORDER-RIGHT-WIDTH: 0px" alt="" src="http://pics6.blog.yam.com//4/userfile/s/sqgo/blog/148058477947cb.jpg" />
